Helping Tennessee's Supportive Living Facilities Offer Board and Care for All addresses unacceptable operating practices in licensed board and care homes for persons with mental illness in Tennessee. DLAC found that current lack of compliance with licensure rules and oversight create a risk for physical and emotional abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation.
DLAC argues that the state must stop ignoring the risk of abuse and neglect faced by board and care home residents and take steps to correct the conditions found during numerous monitoring visits.
